Televisiva by Stefano De Luigi explores the impact of Italian television during the Berlusconi era, documenting the cultural and social transformation brought about by TV programs through photographs taken between 1994 and 2009.
To visually represent the cultural interference generated by television, the cover—designed by me—employs the glitch effect, symbolically evoking the visual and cultural distortion of that time. The book features black-edged pages and the use of black-core paper, on which the cover image and text pages are screen-printed in three colors, further emphasizing the book's materiality. The Swiss binding enhances the book’s openness and visual continuity, allowing for a smooth reading flow between images and text.
